Catchin’ Air catches 2nd Wind Sports

Check out this new kite documentary show series on Discovery HD. Tonight’s episode (9pmEST/6pmPST) covers the Gorge and 2nd Wind Sports, along with shop riders Arla Funk and Bob Riviello are featured both kiting on the water and riding on the mountain. It will also be aired on the 16th of January.

For those of you who do not have access to Discover HD, once we obtain a disc copy of the show, we will host a viewing party at the British Pub in Hood River.

Staff Demo Day-Shop closed

Hey folks, the hardworking staff at 2nd Wind Sports will be out of the shop and all over Mount Hood putting the gear we sell through its paces for you!

We will be snowshoeing, demo’ing the tranceivers, skate and nordic skiing. We’ll be taking every line down meadows on skis and snowboards. The skiers will snowboard and the snowboarders will ski, too, so we remember what it was like our first time so we can better help novice equipment renters, too!

By the time we get back we’ll be better than the best at suiting you up at your ability for the type of activity you like to do!

We apologize but due to many reasons, the Double-feature movie premier has been postponed until the end of the day tomorrow, Dec. 4th. We will be showing them after the Rail Jam!

Also, for those die-hard football fans who feel conflicted about missing the Civil War game tomorrow, you will want to know that the game will be playing inside The Horse & Hound British Pub right next door to the HR Downtown Showdown. What’s the point? You CAN have your cake and eat it, too! You can watch the Civil War and watch the Rail Jam. That’s right folks, so don’t worry! Have a great day!
